October 2011 Favorites: Chanel, MUFE, Hana, and Shoes

Hello everyone!

It's been so long since I filmed a video. I've sure been going through withdrawals and it's great to have another hobby to get some more positive energy.
Thank you all for your kind responses and tweets after my previous blog post. It really means a lot!

Since it's been so long since I filmed something, I honestly had no idea where to start. I tried to think about which videos I enjoy watching and one of the types of videos that I consistently watch are monthly favorites videos. I decided that filming a monthly favorites video would be a great way for me to step back into YouTube.

Here's the video:

Here's the list of products mentioned in the video:
-Chanel Chance Eua Fraiche Perfume
-Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in B20 Beige
-Makeup For Ever HD Powder
-Hana Professional Flat Iron 1.5''
-Hana Shine & Shield Advanced Heat Styling Therapy Serum
-Naruko AM PM Skincare Super Hydra Skin Wakeup Pack
-Naruko Marjoram and Lavendar Brightening Serum
-Bath and Body Works Pocket Bac Anti-Bacterial Hand Sanitizers
-MIA Shoes, Naomi Booties
-Canon EOS Rebel T3i/600D (I filmed with this camera, but ended up changing the lighting when I edited the video)

More in depth about my favorites...

Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche Perfume
Probably my holy grail scent! It is absolutely amazing, end of story. :)
It's quite the investment though.
Sephora is the only store that has two sizes: 1.7 oz. ($65) and 3.4 oz. ($90)
Other department stores only sell the 3.4 oz size.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation
I have this in the shade B20 Beige. I think it's the second lightest color the Chanel counter had.
This foundation is water-based and has very light coverage. Since it's oil-free, it doesn't clog up pores and looks like a second layer of skin. It has a nice flowery scent and feels very refreshing when applied.
This is also quite the investment at $45 and can be found at most department stores.

Make Up For Ever Microfinish HD Powder
As I explained in the video, I've had this powder for quite some time now. The first time I tried the powder, I, wasn't impressed with the results and just ended up storing it deep inside my makeup storage and forgotten about it. Then, a couple weeks ago, I literally just randomly picked up the powder and applied it on my t-zone area on my face, which lately has been getting oily. I generally have dry skin, but occasionally have combination skin. The day I randomly applied this powder, my t-zone was less oily than usual and the outcome was surprising for me. In my opinion, this powder really controls the oils on my face. I've read and heard mixed reviews about this powder.

At a $30 price tag, I feel like if it works for you, it will be worth the money, but if it doesn't, you should return it!

Hana Professional Flat Iron 1.5'' and Hana Shine & Shield Advanced Heat Styling Therapy Serum

I did a separate blog post reviewing these products. If you would like to check out these products, Click Here to direct you to that post.

Naruko AM PM Super Hydra Skin Wakeup Pack
I will soon be uploading a whole video and blog post about a bunch of Naruko products that I've been testing out and trying. However, this is one of my 2 absolute favorites from the Naruko skincare lines.
I apply this every morning to a clean face to get an extra boost of hydration for my skin. It has a cool gel-like consistency and I feel more awake after my skin gets it's boost.

Naruko Marjoram and Lavender Brightening Serum
More details will be given when I go more in depth with this product, but I must say that this product is working wonders for my hyper-pigmentation.

Bath and Body Works Pocket Bac Anti-Bacterial Hand Sanitizer Gel
These little guys have been my best friends these past few weeks. They're tiny and the perfect size to pop in a purse. I love how Bath and Body Works consistently have deals where you save money when you buy a bulk of a certain item. I bought 5 of these pocket-size hand sanitizers for $1. So 5 for $5. The deal is still going on as of today! There are so many scents to choose from.

MIA Shoes, Naomi Booties
For the longest time ever, I've been on the lookout for Jeffrey Campbell's Lita Booties, but I haven't been lucky in finding my size. They're sold out everywhere. So when I made a stop to my Macy's, I saw these shoes and literally squealed. They have somewhat of a "Lita-like" feeling to them with the tall platforms in the front and back. They're not exactly the same as the Lita, but the color is so pretty and works so well with my fall and winter wardrobe.

I hope you enjoyed reading and watching this video. Please let me know if you have any questions about anything. If you've tried any of the products, I would love to read your opinions as well. Thanks for reading!
